Coolaroo Shad Sail July 18, 2008 Carol M. Roman (North Georgia, USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased this product to shade my pond. The fabric is excellent quality and the inclosed hardware was good too. We live on the side of a mountain in a very windy area and the best part is how the sail handles the gusts of wind. I intend to purchase a second one to cover a sitting area to be completed this fall.

We've had one Coolaroo shade for 2 years and love it. We bought this second one to shade more of our back patio. It works well and gives us more comfortable time in the backyard.

Our Coolaroo Sun Sail is now doing a great job shading our koi pond. the fish are more active and we have noticed less algae growth. Wonderful addition to our garden.
I like It July 5, 2010 Tom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed shade over our patio. A year ago I bought a Coolaroo shade and it worked out great. I bought a second one a month ago and the two together provide just the right amount of shade. Using 10 foot 4 x 4s I set my own posts. Make sure you set them the right distance in a true triangle shape. I bought some chain to connect the corners of the shade to the posts. Once complete, I find them easy to take down and put up, but unless a tornado is coming you won't need to. They really hold up well to storms. Not only do I have the shade I wanted but it's 10 to 15 degrees cooler under the shade. I really like this product and I got a great price at Amazon.
Rodents we eat this cloth... November 27, 2009 Stephen F. Ballachey (Petaluma, CA United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
if stored incorrectly, I kid you not. Perhaps it was for nesting and not consumption but I had to sew some patches onto one of the two triangular shade cloths we own a while ago. (NOT COOLAROO'S FAULT) We have been deploying them without other problems for 10 years now. One year an appraiser gave us tax credits for having passive solar around our home. The aesthetic appeal is also nice. Many compliments going on 10 years and counting. By the way, cool optical occurrences happens when you connect two: They actually appear to bend around corners! We used trees, our home and finally steel pipe as attachment points. The pipe was the best method. Another thing about that weave is that mold will not find it a suitable habitat and wind can find no purchase. In a moist marine environment, this is a hugh selling point. I trust Coolaroo. They build bulletproof items. By the way, their pet beds are the bomb for older dogs if you have any.
